About us

Formerly known as the Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing GeoEnviron Engineering & Technology, Inc (BGE) is one of the earliest national high-tech enterprises engaging in technological research, commercialization of research findings and systematic solutions on solid waste pollution prevention and control. Founded in 1992, BGE was listed on A-share Main Board in 2014 (603588); recognized as the National Enterprise Technology Center in 2016; and held a total asset of over CNY 27 billion in 2025. With long-term strategic cooperation with well-known research institutes and eco-friendly enterprises, BGE has been approved to establish a branch of the Postdoctoral Research Station in Haidian Park of Zhongguancun Science Park. To date, BGE has boasted more than 800 patented technologies and 62 software copyrights, and compiled 95 international, national, industry or group standards and technical specifications. It has received nearly 100 national and provincial-level honors, including the National Scientific and Technology Progress Award (Second Prize) and the National Technological Invention Award (Second Prize).

After more than 30 years of dedication, BGE has driven industrial transformation and upgrading through technological innovation, evolving into a comprehensive environmental protection service provider with solid and hazardous waste recycling, environmental operations, and environmental remediation as its core business. BGE oversees over 100 subsidiaries and affiliates, with several recognized as the National Green Factory, the National Specialized and Innovative “Little Giant” Enterprise, and the Provincial R&D Center. Through large-scale and diversified development, it has become a highly competitive leader in the environmental protection industry.

Centering on resource recycling and reuse, BGE has conducted solid and hazardous waste recycling in regions such as Jiangxi, Gansu, Hubei, Chongqing, and Guangdong, from various metals such as copper, nickel, lead, zinc, tin, bismuth, antimony, gold, silver, platinum, palladium, ruthenium, rhodium, and iridium to non-metallic waste like rubber and plastics. It is also expanding business to deep-processed products and new energy materials, successfully becoming a model enterprise in solid and hazardous waste recycling. Its subsidiary Jingyuan BGE ranks among the national and global leaders in bismuth production.

Committed to the capabilities in environmental operations, BGE has built and managed more than ten high-standard waste-to-energy plants with a daily disposal capacity of 11,000 tons, and fully coordinated waste incineration with harmless recycling of sludge, kitchen waste and organic waste. The projects in Yueyang and Putang have been rated as national AAA-level waste-to-energy plants for harmless domestic waste treatment. Additionally, BGE operates eight solid and hazardous waste disposal projects, with a total licensed capacity of 161,800 tons per year for hazardous waste and 22 tons per day for medical waste.

In terms of environmental remediation, BGE focuses on landfill construction, soil and groundwater remediation, and treatment of water, organic waste, and flue gas, delivering efficient and sustainable solutions for environmental management and pollution control. Our company has completed nearly 1000 benchmark projects at home and abroad. Notable examples include the Qizishan Project in Suzhou, which was awarded the “Golden Cup Demonstration Project of Municipal Engineering in China;” the Letpadaung Copper Mine Project in Monywa, Myanmar, which received the “China Construction Engineering Luban Prize;” as well as the Tengger Desert Environmental Treatment Project, the Xiawan Port Ecological Remediation Project, and the COVID-19 emergency construction of the Huoshenshan and Leishenshan hospitals, all of which have set an example for emergency treatment in China’s environmental protection industry.

BGE is actively implementing a comprehensive global expansion strategy, with a strategic focus on Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Latin America, and Africa. It has established stable overseas supply channels for raw materials used in solid and hazardous waste recycling projects and is expanding its presence in environmental operations and engineering services, with the aim of providing advanced solid waste treatment solutions to more countries and regions worldwide.

Sticking to the operation principle of “technology safeguards safety” and the guiding principle of “pursing sci-tech innovation and benefiting the people,” BGE is dedicated to building itself into a world-class environmental technology enterprise and delivering its mission of “creating a safe and everlasting environment for mankind and society.”
